in the beginning
we await the arrival of the pigglet. the newest addition to the family. to be born the year of the golden pig. apparently that has huge significance in korea and even china. who knows? maybe this means we can retire early if the pigglet is as fortune bound as the tale goes.
in the meantime, the pigglet is getting bigger. 2 ultrasounds later and poof - we are in week 21.

Yes, I asked my mother. Korean wise tale that your child will be born in the special "golden" pig year. So does this mean Korean auntie moi get some of the fortune? :)
BTW, are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl? You know, I forget what you told me last time...
Ultrasound has come and gone and we did not choose to find out whether we are having a boy or girl. Time for ancient prophecies to predict this one. Perhaps a future posting will ask for predictions!
Maybe piglet will be a grant-writing genius given what he/she is being exposed to right now!
I see you've done the switch to counting in weeks rather than months as all do - I still have to divide by 4 to think in months!
What color are you painting the room? Are you feeling differently when you eat certain foods? Smell different odors?
You never know... do twins run in Jack's family? Hee hee!
I'm just hoping that you have a healthy baby. :)
Cat,
You are about the cutest ever! Please continue to post pictures of your tummy!!!! My sister-in-law just gave birth to her third girl today...Erin Beverly Borchardt, and I thought for sure the baby was going to be a boy. So much for my predictions. June will be a very exiting month for you and Jack!
By the way, the Ancient Chinese birth calendar was correct for both Graeme and Rebecca.
(Not sure how to indicate my identity, but this is from Tami)
