While in Chinatown a few weeks back, we saw another dragon doing a dance. This time, he'd go up to the front of a store or restaurant, and there would be an offering of lettuce attached to a string! Also on the string were these red crackers - that went off with a LOUD BANG! It was too loud for my taste. Every time one of these went off, mommy and daddy would run the other way and try to protect my ears. Little did they know the dragon was following us.
We were headed to daddy's favorite noodle shop for some food. I even had some noodles for the first time. Very yummy! Anyways, the dragon was coming down the street and made a stop at our shop. The dragon even came inside! I guess they were blessing the kitchen. Then the loud banging starting again...and when the dragon went back outside, he ate some lettuce and then threw some back into the shop. I am not too sure what that means. I think its all part of the blessing for good luck or fortune in the new year. So much excitement for one afternoon when all we were looking for was some noodles!
