daddy's little helper

Spring has sprung and it's time to work in the yard. Phase 2 of the crazy hedge removal has begun. Last year, it was the ones along the front. This year, daddy decided to tackle the ones on one side of the house. And this year, I am also big enough to really help out! Here's the old hedge.
Here's daddy removing the last trees.
And here's us moving the dirt around before planting the new trees.
And the new trees!

I've been trying to help out whenever I can in other ways too. A few weeks ago, daddy was fixing a doorknob in mommy's office. He said he had to go outside (to the garage) to get some oil. I followed him downstairs and said he didn't have to go outside to get oil because we have some inside. He didn't believe me and I started to cry. Finally, he asked me where the oil was and I told him to open up the cupboard in the kitchen. Then, I triumphantly pointed out the oil! (cooking oil that is.)

I am turning 3 very soon and am very excited! What do I want for my birthday? A white, big girl bed!!! Why white you may ask, as did daddy one day? "Because it matches my socks." Right? Things have to match you know.

dear julia - can you come over to my house and help my parents do yard work? they gave me this blue plastic rake and shovel that are pretty useless, so i just end up moving dirt around in circles. and duh, of course, socks should match our beds, adults are so silly!
