the tortoise and the hare

Ella (left) and Kate (right) are 8 weeks old! So, how are things these days you ask?

Personalities when it comes to eating (and maybe life??):
Ella = tortoise - Slow and steady when she eats but eventually gets there.
Kate = hare - Fast and frantic (especially when searching for food), crashes after eating a bit, and then awakes again starving because she didn't eat enough in the first place.

Slow and steady wins the race? Perhaps. Ella is now the one packing on the pounds and has surpassed her younger but originally heavier sister in terms of weight.

They are like clockwork for the most part, feeding every 3-4 hours, thus sleep is still hard to come by. But mom and dad are now somewhat used to this. We are thankful big sister Julia is a good sleeper and somehow manages to sleep through all the crying through the night. And big sister is also very helpful in terms of fetching burp cloths, pacifiers, helping with bottle feedings, etc.
