camping + nor'easter = adventure!

We went on our first camping trip together as a family! Off to cape cod to do what mommy and daddy used to do every year before I came along. They thought it was time to finally initiate me to tenting. What did I think? HOW COOL IS THIS??? And why did we wait until I was two? I loved it! Sleeping outside, on my cool sleeping bag, eating on a picnic table, and swinging in a hammock.

The only thing mommy and daddy weren't counting on - all the rain we got! First it was just a little rain here and there. Then the nor'easter came along and dumped a lot more rain. The rain was LOUD in the tent. But, we all got the hang of things and managed to stay "fairly" dry.

In between rain falls, we took advantage of the nice weather and went to the beach a few times where I hunted down hermit crab, collected sand dollars (they were everywhere), and dug big holes in the sand.
I also swam in the local pond right by our campsite, made friends with some frogs, and hung out with my cousins (I had a blast entertaining them and the rest of the family we were also on the Cape!).

Me trying out Matt's slippers. I like them!
All in all, it was a wonderful adventure. Daddy asked mommy if we could go camping again next week. Mommy said we could set up a tent out in the backyard. Yippee!
