last days of summer

As the last days of summer are upon us, we take this time to reflect on our various adventures - especially this past month since mommy has been having too much fun to help me keep up with blogging.

Besides going for bike rides, swimming at our local lake, picking blueberries, eating homemade popsicles, enjoying outdoor free concerts in a nearby park (which also has a wicked playground), and discovering a fun water park, we took a few trips as well.
We went to Tanglewood to hear some classical music outdoors. And to have a fun picnic outside. I enjoyed the picnic part. And then at some point, I fell asleep so that mommy and daddy could enjoy the music part. Everyone had fun! Here's a photo of our spread!
We also went up to NH to see our friends Mary and John. I finally got to meet Fiona, the puppy. Here we are looking out at the world. (Yes, this is the same place where daddy took the infamous photo of me last year standing at the glass door trying to get outside. And yes, that's little lake Sunapee in the reflection).
The weather is starting to cool down - a relief to daddy who thought it was too hot. We'll have one more summer adventure - back to the cape for a few extra days over Labor Day weekend. Hopefully, the weather will be nice to enjoy the beach some more...and Sundae School!

Then we will look forward to planning fall adventures - apple picking, hay rides, pumpkin picking, fall leaf viewing, and, most importantly, Halloween. Guess I should start thinking about a costume soon.....
