the mommy incubator

What is a mommy incubator? A warm place, a safe place, a place to rest and grow. So, why in the world are the babies trying to leave this place before it's time? We don't know. But, as a result of the rush to come into the world, mommy got stuck at the hospital this past week.

After a few days, I finally got to go and visit mommy at the hospital. Daddy said the babies were in a hurry to come out and meet me. I'm thinking they should just stay put so I can have some quiet time.

Mommy was well taken care of at the hospital. I liked going every night. I drew lots of pictures and we put them on the walls. And, I came up with the management plan for mommy which I wrote on the white board: REST. We'd eat dinner there every night. I had some of my favorite foods there including cheese tortellini with pesto, cheese pizza, chicken tenders...but my most favorite thing there was dessert: raspberry ice!!!
Yesterday, mommy came home to be on bed rest. It's nice to have her back. Now maybe these babies will simmer down a bit so they can grow more and be nice and healthy when they come out. 331/2 weeks and counting!

Sounds like the babies gave you quite a scare. So glad everything is OK and that you're home now. Take good care and listen to Julia: get lots of rest! Hugs from all of us.
