For the mom, that is. :)
The drugs are finished for now and this has paved the way for some real food. Thank goodness. Although, what am I saying??? - it's hospital food. Still, better than ice chips.
I have been unplugged from machinery and feel like a whole new being again. Between the EKG hook ups, leg pumps, IV, blood pressure cuff, heart monitor, etc...you start to wonder what isn't being monitored in your system.
So, now we wait and watch to see what happens. Will likely be in the hospital for a few more days..to see how things go without medical intervention. If things stay calm (aka contractions stay to a minimum), I *might* get discharged for home by Thurs..or maybe Fri.
Still not sleeping the greatest but I am sure that will catch up with me soon and nothing will be able to wake me up! At least tonight they won't be poking needles in me for blood or hitting my knees to check my reflexes every couple of hours.
Jack has been running around "finding" me extra drinks and goodies to ingest, and learning about all the machinery and interpreting the printouts. Let's just say the nurses know who HE is. : ) And getting tours apparently. I think he meandered to the nursery ward today to see all the newborns. All I am familiar with are these four walls around me. So strange to have such a narrow view of the environment that surrounds you.
Most importantly - thanks to everyone for the well wishes, support, and love. It has meant the world to us and to pigglet.

Cat and Jack,
Hang in there...and enjoy that food! We're definitely keeping our fingers, toes, eyes (and whatever else) crossed for the three of you! And make sure that you get some good rest when you get released! Bed rest does not mean that you now have free time and free reign to clean the house or rearrange furniture! (We discussed this on the speakerphone with Dick the other evening....) Anyhow, know that we are thinking of you and hoping that pigglet continues to stay put for another few weeks!
Love, Ann, David & Jocelyn
