Ok, not the next post we were expecting.
Have been in the hospital since 7 am this morning, when it was thought that my water broke (it appears to be intact). We are ok for now. Trying to slow down contractions so that we can see about delaying the delivery of the pigglet. We won't know for sure if all the procedures will work. In the meantime, I am being monitored very closely to see what they can do and to ensure the safety of both of us. (zzzzzz, Cat just fell asleep)....
From the hopeful new dad: poor Cat and all the other women in the world that have ever tried or actually gotten pregnant and given birth. I take my hat off to you with an even greater level of respect and admiration. You rock! And my parents... I will no longer roll my eyes when you say "you will understand when you have kids of your own". I'm starting to get a clue about what the heck they were talking about but still hope to refrain from saying this to our kids. Regardless, thank you all sincerely for your unending sacrifices.
At hospital admittance plus 15 hours, we remain optimistic that we can stop the preterm labor and keep this pigglet safety maturing inside of mom for some time to come while simultaneously preparing for a surprise arrival. The drugs are slowing the contractions down but not stopping them. Oh boy, this adventure is not even the beginning! I wonder what other tales the womb of time will deliver. We will know more in the morning.

Cat and Jack: not the post we were expecting to read when we logged on tonight. We're thinking of you, and hope everything goes well. Tell little pigglet to stay put and get stronger before making his/her grand appearance into the world! love from Rob, Anita, Caitlyn & Devin
Thank you for updating the blog! I'm sure you have other things to which you need to attend, but it's been great. As I said in my email, Thank God for modern technology and advances in medicine. Paired with Cat's strength, things look hopeful!
My mom always tells me that the love from "parent to child" flows stronger, wider, and deeper than the love from "child to parent". She too stated that I wouldn't truly know what that meant till "I had my own children". :) Knowing how much I love my mom and that her love is soooo much more, I realize that parents are amazing, strong, generous, and large-hearted beings. Just like both of you, Cat and Jack!
BIG hugs, Sarah
