While at the hospital, we were encouraged by the staff there to adopt some "kangaroo time" with Julia. Simply put, this means skin-to-skin contact with her to encourage bonding and allow her to be comforted. Babies who receive kangraoo care are supposedly calmer and feed better.

Of course, kangaroo time can be with mom or dad. Which means, as we have found out, she will seek milk when she is on dad - even when dad is wearing a t-shirt!
