Thank goodness we were sitting beside a very nice woman from Washington State who loves babies. Otherwise, it would have made for a much more challenging trip for a novice flier with infant. I even brought ear plugs and pieces of chocolate for those sitting around us in case we had a meltdown :). But, there was no need. Julia settled into a good routine once the plane took off. No problems with her ears. In fact, the motion of take off put her to sleep.
Eventually, I thought I'd get a chance to relax and watch the movie (Spider Man). Let's just say I'll have to rent the DVD when it comes out. In between Julia grabbing and getting tangled up in the ear sets, feeding, crying, getting rocked back to sleep in the bjorn, it just wasn't meant to be.
Her cousins were excited to finally meet her on the other end! (Solomon and Jennifer) Grandma and grandpa were also waiting up for her - it was past midnight local time by the time we arrived home. Everyone will need to catch up on sleep!
Overall, Julia was a trooper and perhaps is a natural at flying like her dad. Good practice for her when we really start to drag her around the world to see various sites.
